Available at Amazon here
Brett sent in a link to a webpage by "Snarky Nomad" entitled "Six Big Polish Stereotypes that are Kinda Silly." The six stereotypes are that Poles are stupid, drunks, religious zealots, humorless, communists, and anti-Semites. You can read Snarky Nomad's blog post on Polish Stereotypes here.

  1. The "Snarky Nomad" post is absolutely hilarious as well as informative. I learned a thing or two.

On the other hand, it is not the facts that really matter. Those who attack Poland are not interested in the truth. They are interested only in defaming Poland.

  2. I was ready to be angry at Snarky Nomad but found that his piece was so good that I tweeted it. (A compliment).

But as to the anti-Polish discrimination, and the unfunny Polish jokes, those of us in the Boomer Generation can attest to the fact that they exist.

Bieganski the Blog exists to further explore the themes of the book Bieganski the Brute Polak Stereotype, Its Role in Polish-Jewish Relations and American Popular Culture.
These themes include the false and damaging stereotype of Poles as brutes who are uniquely hateful and responsible for atrocity, and this stereotype's use in distorting WW II history and all accounts of atrocity.
This blog welcomes comments from readers that address those themes. Off-topic and anti-Semitic posts are likely to be deleted.
